This album is basically an archive to my time spent as a (closeted, severely depressed, little emo) high schooler making music in her parents home growing up. It is sort of funny to listen to these songs and to go digging through the old files on my old computer. I forgot about how many I had made! (The embarrassment of a lot of the songs & UDS as a whole, is a lil present for sure!) These aren't everything, but a pretty good chunk.

Making this music was really the only way I had of coping with the constant drowning feeling of being a mentally ill, closeted, queer, trans girl. Growing up was awkward and uncomfortable. It is a sweet thing to finally write this lil bedroom project/band/thing off.

Thank you to everyone (and I mean EVERYBODY) that had anything to do with this bananas project. The friends, people, listeners, subject matter, band mates, etc. All of y'all were apart of this strange, but very important growth period in my life.

I'm happy, healthy, and so far removed from whoever/whatever was making this music. Everything before coming out and beginning my transition doesn't seem realish, and that's because, in a way, it isn't. I wasn't ever fully my authentic self at that time, so who/whatever it was that was taking up my life really just wasn't me.

But anyway, thanks for the outlet.
